HDFC Bank on Friday posted a 15% YoY jump in HDFC BANK its deposits at Rs 25 lakh crore for the second quarter ended September 2024 as part of its quarterly update while the bank's advances under management jumped 8%.
The Bank's advances under management were reported at Rs 26.33 lakh crore as of September 30, 2024 against Rs 24.37 lakh crore for the quarter ended September 2023.
The Bank's gross advances aggregated to approximately Rs 25.19 lakh crore as of the quarter ended September 2024, a growth of around 7% YoY.
Further, the bank's CASA deposits stood at Rs 8.83 lakh crore, witnessing a jump of 8% against Rs 8.17 lakh crore for the corresponding quarter in the year- ago period.
The average liquidity coverage ratio was around 127% for the quarter.
HDFC Bank's advances under management, on an average basis, for the second quarter ended September 2024 stood at Rs 25.63 lakh crore over Rs 23.26 lakh cIore recorded for Q2FY24, showing a growth of 10.2% YoY. The same stood at Rs 25.32 lakh crore for the June 2024 quarter.
Meanwhile, on an average basis, the bank's deposits for Q1FY25 were reported at Rs 23.53 lakh crore, up by nearly 15.4% YoY from Rs 20.38 lakh crore for the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
The shares of HDFC Bank have gained by 10.7% in the last one year while decreasing by nearly 2% in the current calendar year. In the last 3 months, the stock is down by 5.6%.
On charts, the stock is standing below 10 and 20 day exponential moving averages (DEMA) but sustaining above its 50 DEMA.
The stock closed 2.5% lower at Rs 1,682.15 on Thursday.
